Emilia enrolled in Denver Online School to finish high school and to be able to travel, practice and compete full time. Previously, Emilia attended East High School where she was the field hockey team goalie and captured second in the state in 2009 – the first time in ten years a women’s sport made it to state at East High. Not only did Emilia complete high school online with a 4.2 GPA, she also completed an online college course.
Emilia was introduced to skiing by her grandfather and her parents who started teaching her how to ski when she was only 3 years old. As a 17 year old slopestyle skier Emilia skis at Breckenridge, Colorado on the Breckenridge Freeride Team, Hawks Freeride Team and the US Freeskiing Team. Her goals include skiing her best every day, and advancing the sport of women’s slopestyle by landing tricks that haven’t been done before. She also wants to promote the sport in a positive way, and get more girls involved. Her future will be in the ski industry. Emilia ha been named to the US Freeskiing Team and looks forward to qualifiying for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
