There is an opening in the KGNU Radio Broadcasting training program this summer. The training will be held during the month of June at 700 Kalamath Street (exact times TBA).
This program teaches students how to create a radio show featuring music, interviews with community members, commercials and more. Students learn how to edit music and voice on the computer and get a chance to work closely with 2 DJs (Dave Ashton and Ietef Vita AKA “DJ Cavem”). The radio show developed by the students is broadcasted on the air at the end of the training.
Training is free and students can earn up to 5 WES or elective credits for participating.
Appropriate students:
Are Juniors/Seniors (graduating 2013-2014)
Have a keen interest in music, broadcasting and audio visual media
Are capable of riding the bus independently without bus training and participating in the program without para support
