a beacon for literary types
When people ask us why we love Halloween, we’re always like, “Oh we’ve just always been interested in the gothic and the macabre. Also, we were way into Joy Division before everyone else was, so.” But our real answer is FREE CANDY.
Plus, we can use our seasonal sugar high to attend a few more upcoming Denver Talks events. Maybe we’ll stop by a Citizen-themed drop-in writing at Museo De Las Americas. Or Curious Theatre Company’s performance of the stage adaptation. Or book discussions at Tattered Cover, the Broomfield and Westminster libraries, or Lighthouse.
All of our Denver Talks events are free and open to the public, and they’re the best way to get ready for Citizen author Claudia Rankine’s visit to Denver, November 15 & 16. RSVP for her free on-stage talk with Mayor Michael Hancock here. She’ll also be teaching a craft class at Lighthouse! Sweeeet.
