Tuition Free College Courses (Concurrent Enrollment) & Career Education Center Classes

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT (COLLEGE CLASSES) FOR NEXT SPRING

This opportunity is open to ALL Denver Online students, so everyone is welcome and encouraged to register for college classes.

Many of you already have college classes on your spring schedule, so if you do not register for college, then you will need to take Online HS classes in their place.

Please email Casey Burton (Casey_Burton@dpsk12.org) asap if you want to take college classes to set up a short meeting to go over the process and get course recommendations.

The process is slightly different for each college, so please meet with Casey first to go over the details.

CEC CAREER CLASSES

We’d like to invite you all to consider taking a class at CEC (Career Education Center) next Spring. These classes are a great way to learn about various careers, earn a bunch of high school credits, and get you out of the house.

Check out more info about CEC and the list of classes at the following link:

http://www.dosomethingreal.com/resources/career-classes

Each CEC career class is worth 15 credits or 3 regular classes.

Some of you need to take one of these classes in order to stay on track for graduation, so make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity.

If you do take one of these classes, you are expected to be in attendance at CEC 5 days a week, but you get to choose which session you will attend (Morning 7:25 – 9:55 a.m. or Afternoon 12:10 – 2:35 p.m.). You will also be exempt from homeroom if you take a CEC class.

If you plan to enroll in one of these courses next year you need to e-mail, call, or see Casey Burton to sign up. Casey_Burton@dpsk12.org

Enrollment is first-come first-serve so the sooner you get signed up, the more likely you are to get the course and session you want.
