Explore your passion in one of the 22 career courses offered at the Career Education Center Early College (CEC)!

CEC offers you the opportunity to get real hands on experience diving deep into a career with industry professionals. Check out a full list of careers and course descriptions here: http://www.dosomethingreal.com/resources/career-classes

Each CEC career class is worth 15 credits or 3 regular classes. Some classes even award free college credit!

If you do take one of these classes, you are expected to be in attendance at CEC 5 days a week, but you get to choose which session you will attend (Morning 7:25 – 9:55 a.m. or Afternoon 12:10 – 2:35 p.m.). You will be exempt from Connection Day/Grad Prep. Buses are available from many high schools across the district.

Enrollment is first-come first-serve so the sooner you get signed up, the more likely you are to get the course and session you want. Classes fill up fast! Contact me to sign up ( Nadia_coleman@dpsk12.org or 720-424-8291).

How to sign up:

  1.  Read the course descriptions of classes you are interested on CEC’s website. Decide on a first, second and third choice class.
  2.  Discuss transportation with your family. Decide whether you prefer the morning session, the afternoon session, or can attend either session.
  3.  Complete the attached form and return it to Nadia Coleman.

The sooner you get enrolled the better, since classes fill up fast!
