Denver Zoo Field Trip – Friday, March 8

DOHS is going to experience A Day in the Life of a Zookeeper on the afternoon of Friday March 8. This career workshop includes hands-on activities and live animal demonstrations. Whether you’ve been reading about zoo animals in Contemporary Lit, are interested in working at a zoo someday, or just like animals, you don’t want to miss this behind-the-scenes look at the Denver Zoo. The workshop, from 1-3 on Friday March, 8, is open to a limited number of students, so email Mrs. Glynn at Jessica_glynn@dpsk12.org to reserve your spot.

History Day

We would like to put together a History Day team to represent Denver Online High School. If you are not familiar with this, it is a competition in which students research a historical topic related to a theme and present their topic in a paper, exhibit board, documentary, performance, or website. The students conduct extensive primary and secondary research to make their project the best they can and then compete in regional, state, and national competition if they make it. This years theme is Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History. Students find the experience rewarding on multiple levels as do parents! If you would like to know more about the competition please visit the National History Day website at National History Day and contact Brittany Scritchfield or Mike Clem for questions or to participate.
