Student Volunteer Program

We have plenty of times where we could use some extra help around the school and in special activities.  Check through the following volunteer opportunities for the 2018-19 Academic Year and contact Kaci Sintek ( to sign up.

Volunteering in the Community
There are multiple opportunities for our students to get involved in volunteering in their community while also earning credit.  For a list of ideas with information around obtaining credit for serving, see our Service Learning page.

Student Mentoring Program
The mentoring program allow students to become mentors for each other, connecting students with other peer buddies that help other students get connected, grow, and stay accountable to their education and futures.

Collaborative School Committee (CSC) Representative
The CSC serves to enhance student achievement and school climate through collaboration about the school’s budget, the direction of the Unified Improvement Plan, and other school processes.  Student volunteers would need to attend monthly virtual meetings that primarily land on the evening (6pm-7:30pm) of the last Tuesday of each month.

Marketing Events
Our school is represented at multiple educational events throughout the year.  Student volunteers would work at the Denver Online High School booth, hand out flyers, and talk to people about the school.

Child Care
We have a handful of students who are young parents.  It is difficult for them to complete their studies while simultaneously watching over a little kid.  Student volunteers would work with these parents and babysit at the school while students worked in the lab.
