Hello Denver Online Students!

Are you Returning to Denver Online next year?

Do you want to take College Classes next Fall?

If you  answered YES to both of those questions, then you should come to the Concurrent Enrollment Fall 2024 Registration Kickoff Meeting on Wednesday, March 13th at 9:45 am. Add this to your calendars now!

ZOOM MEETING LINK:  https://dpsonline.zoom.us/my/caseyburton

At this meeting we will outline the Concurrent Enrollment registration process, have current college students talk about their experience, and we will answer any questions you may have about taking college classes in High School.

At Denver online we have two options for college classes; you can take them fully online with Denver Online teachers, or you can take them on the college campus. The process is mostly the same for each option.

This opportunity is open to ALL Denver Online High School students, everyone is welcome and encouraged to register for and take college classes, but to be eligible you MUST meet the college readiness benchmarks on the Accuplacer test. By the way, even if you don’t plan to take College classes next Fall, the Accuplacer is a great way to meet the Graduation Competency Requirement and be On Track To Graduate going into your senior year.

To complete the Process you need to do all of the following steps:

  1. *Take Accuplacer
  2. *Complete College Application and send your College ID# to Casey Burton
  3. Complete/Update ICAP
  4. Get Course Recommendations/pre-approval from Casey Burton or Jennifer Fenton.
  5. Register for Classes at your College and Confirm Courses with Casey Burton (send me your Spring college schedule) ONLY FOR STUDENTS TAKING CLASSES ON THE COLLEGE CAMPUS
  6. Complete Student/Parent Agreement in the DPS Student /Parent Portal (this will happen next Fall)

*Only for new CE students

Deadline to complete ALL steps: Friday, May 17th.

We hope to see you all at the meeting on the 13th!
