George Washington High School and DSST Conservatory Green High School are partnering to host and re-start the annual DPS Chess Championship tournament! The tournament will commence on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the George Washington High School Cafeteria (655 S. Monaco Pkwy Denver, CO 80224).
Each player will play five rounds of chess, with a 20/5 format. Prizes will be awarded to teams who finish in first through third place and individuals in first through fifth place. The top four scores from each school will be counted toward team points. Players need to arrive no later than 8 a.m. for check-in. There is a cost of $5 per player to participate in the tournament.
