Casey Burton has worked for Denver Online since its beginning in 2003 and for the Denver Public School District since 2001. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from CU Boulder and then his Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix. While he enjoys learning about history and politics, he became a counselor after teaching because he realized he liked kids more than content. Casey loves his job because he gets to work with kids from all over and because it affords him the freedom to spend time with his two kids and amazing wife. Whether it is building from his kids’ Lego set or doing major home remodeling, he also highly enjoys doing building projects.
