Sean Federico, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (N.C.S.P.), has been providing meaningful individual, small group, and whole class instruction to support a variety of student needs while fostering personal belief and resiliency within an engaging and compassionate framework. Areas of focus include school engagement, social problem solving and peer conflict, social communication, depression/anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, anger and self-regulation, peer pressure, and developing a greater understanding of ourselves. Sean graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in 2009 with an Ed.S degree in School Psychology and began working with Denver Public Schools. Within an educational setting, Sean believes that by utilizing positive psychology and advocating and fostering a “Great Place to Learn,” students are empowered to be self-directed, engaged, and caring individuals. He believes students are strong, capable, and resilient with a desire to do well. He has held a number of leadership positions including Department Leadership Team (DLT); DPS New Educator Induction Mentor; Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS); School Psychology Intern & Practicum Supervisor: Early Childhood Instructional Consultant. Sean is married with one son, a cat, a dog, a turtle, and enjoys hiking and the outdoors, ping pong, and fixing things.
