Upcoming Events and Opportunities at Girls Inc.!#Adulting Night: Conflict Resolution, Wednesday, March 16th, 5pm-6:30pm
This month’s #Adulting Night is all about handling conflict and different perspectives and opinions in personal and professional situations! Dinner will be provided for this in-person event at the Girls Inc. Center – 1499 Julian St., Denver, CO 80204. On Tuesday, learn about how to build professional connections and network to meet people who can share about their careers and help connect you to jobs or internships. On Thursday, learn about what do to build your confidence and know that you belong in the professional world by fighting Imposter Syndrome! Join either or both events here

The Untold Stories LGBTQIA+ history and learning group is kicking things back off with an art contest! All are welcome, not just folks who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. You can also attend this fun event in person or virtually even if you don’t want to compete in the art contest!Book art will be displayed in our Girls Inc. Gallery on March 19th for scoring and prizes like $200 Target gift cards or tablets!

Learn what the University of Colorado-Boulder has to offer with a campus tour and question and answer session with current students! Transportation to campus will be provided from the Girls Inc. Current 8th, 9th, and 10th graders, you can apply to be part of our Leadership out Loud 3-year program that’s all about social justice and changing the world! The fun and learning starts with a summer camp, and continues with paid internships and a trip to Washington, D.C. over the course of the program. Share your perspectives about youth self-esteem by recording a video on your phone for a webinar for parents and other adults. Participants who submit a video will get a $50 gift card. The Colorado Council of Black Nurses Scholarship applications are open now for $50-$1,000 scholarships for Colorado high school and college students currently studying or planning to study nursing. Application deadline is July 1st, learn more and apply here. 
The Consumers United Association Darrell Mann Scholarship is open from now until March 31st for teens and adults. Learn more and apply here.
