Anders is a Denver native and product of Denver Public Schools, having graduated from East High School. He received his BA (History) from the University of Wisconsin and did his post-bac work at Metropolitan State in Denver, focusing on Secondary Social Studies and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. Before Denver Online, Anders spent years teaching US History and Civics at New America School-Lowry, a charter school primarily focused on new immigrants, refugees, and emergent-bilinguals. When not working, you might find him riding his bike, playing music (poorly), or perhaps in Door County, Wisconsin.
