Celina’s favorite thing about her jobs is, “Helping people! Working with families, students, and staff. Troubleshooting and working with technology!” She graduated from John F. Kennedy HS in DPS and then attended Arapahoe Community College for her Associates, and then University of Phoenix for her Bachelors of Science degree in Business & Digital Marketing. She as an avid concert goer, collects vinyl records, and even participates in awarding a music scholarship to a DPS music student: “The Joseph Atencio Jr. Music Scholarship Award,” promoting epilepsy awareness. She has coached softball for multiple DPS programs and has worked in public education and youth recreation since 2008. She loves the outdoors, enjoying fishing, archery, grilling, riding her motorcycle/dirt bike/cruiser/atv (she has them all!), and playing with her dogs! She is always giving back to her community, saying, “I think it’s safe to say that Denver programs shaped my childhood, which is why I enjoy giving back to many different youth programs across Denver and helping out any way that I can!”
