Mary Beth Carlson came to Denver Online in the Fall of 2021. She grew up in a large family in Lansing, Michigan. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Arizona State University, a teaching degree from Michigan State University, and a master’s degree from CU Boulder in multicultural and special education. She has worked for Denver Public Schools as a bilingual, English, elementary and secondary special education teacher for almost thirty years. She enjoys the outdoors, both in Michigan and Colorado, with her family and hides to read any chance she can get. She says, “the best part of Denver Online so far is the great supportive staff and how connected the school and community are regardless of being remote.”
