Nadia Coleman supports counseling, mental health, mentor programs, advisement, Special Education and whole child programming at Denver Online. She served as a Student Advisor at Denver Online for six years before taking a leadership role. She is passionate about supporting students as real human beings, not just in a school setting. Her favorite thing about working at Denver Online is getting to know every student and support them in school and life, so that they experience success. She loves the freedom to individualize and personalize education for every unique individual at Denver Online. Before joining the Denver Online team, she taught English and social studies for eight years. She is passionate about supporting non-traditional students and published an article in the journal “Educational Studies” about fostering adolescents’ resilience. Nadia received her Ph.D. from the University of Denver in Educational Leadership and Policy, her M.A. from CU Boulder in Instruction and Curriculum in Education, and her B.A. in Political Science from Macalester College. Nadia enjoys cooking with her husband, backpacking in the Rockies, and summer road trips!
